A financially sound agricultural cooperative in Western Michigan is seeking a motivated and committed CEO to replace their retiring CEO. This individual will bring solid agribusiness leadership skills, ambition and a positive attitude to lead an existing quality team of professionals to the next level of success at this multi-facility agronomy, feed, and grain company.
The successful candidate will be a clear communicator with excellent people skills and unquestionable integrity who enjoys building relationships on trust. You will help team members set clear boundaries and goals to operate successfully while not micromanaging. Thinking out of the box, being assertive and willing to take calculated risks, making tough decisions, and guiding the team with realistic optimism are also key.
Outgoing and fiscally responsible will describe this leader who must have a big picture understanding of where the cooperative is trending and be able to develop a vision for the future of the company. They will also be humble, willing to get their hands dirty, and help all team members develop, grow and achieve goals and know they are an important part of the team.
The new CEO will project energy and be ready to take on multiple tasks while being visible to customers, employees, and the community.
