    Description

Respected and expanding grain equipment company is seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Customer Service Representative / Grain Equipment Sales professional to strengthen their team who desires to work remotely.

You will utilize your industry experience and excellent people, telephone, and computer skills every day as you work with clients in the grain, feed, seed and milling industries. You will be answering questions on orders, invoices, how equipment works, and other topics. You will also be problem solving and selling them the right equipment to meet their needs from this company's complete line of equipment, preparing freight quotes, and entering those orders or passing them on to the clerical team.

Relationship building will be a key part of this position. You will represent the company at trade shows periodically. Travel will be approximately 10% or less of your time.

This is a remote position or can be hybrid if desired. You will be welcome to work from home; some initial time in the company office for training will be necessary. You will then transition to working from home and coming to the company office only as needed.

There is no boundary on where you live. Iowa, Illinois, or Missouri would be great, but where you live is of no concern. Working remotely, you will join in on weekly team conference calls and occasionally return back to the office for sales staff meetings. You will be sent customer emails and phone calls right to your work station just as if you are working from the company office.

At least two years of ag industry experience is required, preferably in ag sales or customer service. A BS degree (at minimum an Associate's degree) in agriculture and exposure to agriculture most of your life or having grown up in a rural environment is preferred.

Ideally, someone with a grain operations and / or a grain milling background is ideal. A Grain Superintendent or Grain Location Manager who has a passion to be in sales will be a great fit, as could be someone with seed industry experience, especially in the lab setting, or a farmer who needs full time work off the farm. These backgrounds will provide you with a very good idea of their equipment and how it works and allow you to trouble shoot and understand the applications of what can be done to solve the customers' problems. Seasoned grain industry veterans who have extensive experience, good work ethic, understand the industry, and are looking for a fresh challenge are especially encouraged to apply.

Starting salary will likely be in the $70-80,000 range based on experience along with excellent benefits and incentives.
