We are helping an agribusiness find a quality person to be an Area Sales Manager. This is a fast-paced role where you are leading local and regional real estate and farm business development operations. The territory consists of the northern 2/3rds of Illinois, the southern 1/3 of Wisconsin, and northeast Iowa. You may live anywhere in the territory. You'll be on the road two to three days per week meeting with real estate associates, farm managers, clients, and prospects. You will have six direct reports.
The goal for this opportunity is to create brand awareness and be a source of agribusiness information to your clients. You will do public presentations, trade shows, field days, career fairs, and other events to interact with the farm public while at the same time selling farm management and real estate services. The company has over a century in business and is highly respected.
This is a role that requires professionalism. You'll be working with landowners, lawyers, accountants, bankers, and farmers. You must have a sharp appearance, and excellent verbal and written skills. Your personality needs to be extroverted and engaging. You will be a leader and mentor with your team and coaching them to be successful. Your mindset needs to entrepreneurial.
You'll need at least a BS degree in an ag related field with backgrounds in fiduciary and real estate management. A Real Estate license will be required within 120 days of hire.
The company provides a base salary in the range of $55 to $70,000 plus a lucrative bonus program. A vehicle and benefits are provided. All of your home office expenses are covered. This is an urgent fill. Please send your resume to Jim Fleming.
