A Research Associate is needed for a food / seed company based in central Indiana.
This is a hands on role. You will be in the field conducting research on soybeans. The work will consist of hand pollinations, crossing plants, making observations, taking notes, threshing, cleaning, and packaging with other duties assigned when needed.
The preferred candidate will have a BS degree in Agronomy, Plant Biology, or a related field coupled to 3 years experience in soybean research nursery trials. Other experiences helpful to your success in the role are understanding seed threshers and cleaners. Working applications using MS Excel, tablets, and drone experiences are also helpful. You must be comfortable working in outdoor settings and getting dirty.

This career opportunity will fit a person who enjoys working alone and self-managing your time. You must understand the agricultural cycle and know when the work is to be completed. Typical hours are 8 to 5 Monday through Friday with seasonal hours to be worked as needed.
