Large commercial seed and farming enterprise is seeking a Farm Supervisor to oversee all outside operations on 15,000 acres in the heart of Indiana. This role is focused in agronomy, equipment, and personnel.

The farm has 2,000 acres that are irrigated. Crops are corn and soybeans that are packaged for sale through partners. Your focus is to lead agronomic decisions. You will be scouting fields daily and will work with outside partners to develop treatment plans. A working knowledge of chemistries used in row crop applications will be vital. You will oversee applications of chemistries and fertilizer and may at times operate a Hagie row crop machine. You'll communicate with management on planting, growing, and harvesting progress.

This role will require you to manage a team of six to ten people depending upon the season. You will work closely with HR to determine staffing needs, hiring, onboarding, and reviews. You must be someone who can delegate work to achieve the production goals.

The company has invested heavily in equipment and facilities and prides themselves as having the latest in machinery. Drones play an important in seeing what's going on in the field. A drone pilot license would he helpful in this role.

The desired candidate for this career opportunity is someone coming from the operations side of an agronomy coop and understands the process in getting a crop to the finish line. If you are an operator or been in operations management in the agronomy retail space, you will be someone of interest. You will need a Class A CDL and an Indiana custom applicator's license.

This is a team focused family company with limited bureaucracy. Decisions can be made quickly. While you are not micromanaged, you are expected to be transparent with communications and be able to explain your decisions and actions. Take ownership and go the extra mile to get the task done to produce a quality product.

You will be compensated based upon your experience. You can expect to earn a salary in the $75,000 to $90,000 with a full benefit package. Contact Jim Fleming.
