Description
A rapidly growing and innovative food ingredient manufacturer is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead food safety, audit readiness, and quality systems at a large-scale rice milling and extrusion facility in Arkansas. The company specializes in high-quality, non-GMO and gluten-free grain ingredients and operates in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where innovation and adaptability are highly valued.
This individual will serve as the site SQF Practitioner and lead all quality and food safety initiatives across a complex manufacturing operation. The role is heavily focused on external audits, process improvement, and building scalable systems that can support a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all site food safety and quality assurance programs
- Serve as the site SQF Practitioner
- Drive customer, SQF, FDA, HACCP, and third-party audit readiness
- Manage and develop the onsite QA team
- Build and improve systems, processes, and documentation procedures
- Partner closely with plant leadership and corporate quality leadership
- Support quality initiatives across both milling and extrusion operations
What They’re Looking For
- Strong food manufacturing QA leadership experience
- Deep understanding of SQF, HACCP, food safety systems, and audit management
- Experience in grain milling, ingredient manufacturing, extrusion, or related food processing environments preferred
- A hands-on leader capable of creating structure, accountability, and sustainable systems
- Someone comfortable operating in a lean, evolving, high-growth environment where processes are still being built and refined
