Indiana seed company is seeking a Facility Maintenance Manager. This role is open due to an internal promotion.
This opportunity is responsible for all internal equipment, buildings, and warehouses that are used in the processing and packaging of seed. The person in this role plays a key part in the overall operation and direction of the company. You will sit on the Management Team and be responsible for ten direct reports. You will lead projects and oversee all repairs. The plant supplies product for thirty different brands and utilizes four conditioning lines and five packaging lines.
Key skills needed for this role are first-hand knowledge of plant automation systems, electrical, and fabrication. You will be trouble-shooting and making the diagnosis for repairs. You need to have an understanding of how the process flows throughout the plant. Most of the repair work will be completed in-house, though there will be times when you will connect with outside vendors to complete the job. In the plant are sorters, shellers, cleaners, robotics, and treaters all used to clean and process row crop seed.
