A Facility Maintenance Manager is needed for a seed production company in central Indiana.
The person in this role will sit on the company management team and will be responsible ten employees and all buildings and internal equipment. You will play a key part in the overall operation and direction of the company. Your daily responsibilities will be to lead projects and oversee all repairs. The plant supplies product for thirty different brands and utilizes four conditioning lines and five packaging lines for corn and soybeans.
Key skills needed for this role are first-hand knowledge of plant automation systems, electrical, and fabrication. You will be trouble-shooting and making the diagnosis for repairs. You need to have an understanding of how the process flows throughout the plant. Most of the repair work will be completed in-house, though there will be times when you will connect with outside vendors to complete the job. In the plant are sorters, shellers, cleaners, robotics, and treaters all used to clean and process row crop seed.
