A seed company is seeking a versatile individual to join their team as a Field Supervisor and Warehouse Operations. This is a hybrid type role that will have you outside in the warm months and inside in the cold months.
You will be working with farmer cooperators advising them on planting. You'll be scouting fields looking for diseases, insects, and weed pressures. Also, you will be taking stand counts and scheduling detasseling and roguing crews. You will enter data into a company-provided IPAD and communicate with the farmer operator. Inside, you will manage a crew rebagging seed and operating a forklift.
This role requires someone who is a team player and enjoys a variety of tasks and responsibilities. You need to be someone who is flexible and willing to learn new tasks. The work environment is fast-paced with seasonal hours. The role requires good verbal and written skills and electronic communication. A farm background is desired, but not required. Educational requirements are open.
The company is one of the largest growers of seed in the US and has numerous opportunities for you to grow professionally. Should you be hired, you will be compensated hourly with overtime and a lucrative bonus package plus medical and retirement benefits. This role is a great way to get started with a company known for their commitment to producing quality seed to feed the world. The compensation range is $43,000 to $50,000 based on your level of experience. Please email your resume to Jim Fleming at firstname.lastname@example.org.
