A leading Financial Services firm specializing in the Agribusiness Industry is seeking a full-time Fractional Chief Financial Officer to join their team. This role is designed for a driven and experienced financial professional who excels at navigating diverse challenges and building strong, client-focused relationships. As a Fractional CFO, you will provide strategic financial leadership to clients who require professional support on a limited basis, ensuring the effectiveness and accuracy of financial operations.

In this position, you will be expected to leverage your network and industry expertise to actively pursue new business opportunities and expand the firm's client base. The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent management and supervisory skills, be highly analytical, be proficient in database and computer application systems management, and possess strong organizational abilities. Trusting and empowering the team will be critical, as well as demonstrating a proactive approach to task allocation. This role demands exceptional communication skills, the ability to present financial stories effectively, and comfort with using virtual communication tools professionally.

Key qualifications include:

  • Ability to develop and maintain a book of business and effectively engage with clients.
  • Strong business development and sales skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting oversight, ensuring accuracy while delegating tasks.
  • Experience in financial management at companies with revenues of $1B or more.
  • Extensive experience in insurance renewals, ERP system conversions, and leading financial teams.
  • Proven track record of building and leveraging teams to achieve project success.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to build and maintain client relationships and support business growth.

The successful candidate will have at least eight years of financial management experience, hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, and have experience with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting. A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, or Finance is required, while a master’s degree and an Agribusiness background are preferred.

This position offers the flexibility of working from a home office anywhere in the U.S., with travel up to 50% required to support client needs. Compensation ranges between $175,000 and $190,000, based on experience, skills, and certifications, and includes a competitive benefits package with a bonus structure and retirement program.
