A thriving grain company offers a great opportunity in Wisconsin for a highly motivated leader with grain handling and people management experience to serve as a hands-on Grain Location Manager. This individual must be creative in finding solutions to move the business profitably forward and figuring out and solving challenges as they arise.
The successful candidate will lead a crew of 5 FT (and up to 10 at harvest) operations team members and oversee all of the daily operations of an all truck grain facility that receives and ships out multiple grain commodities. This is a steady paced facility with a constant flow of grain. Quality and good communications are key. Leadership qualities are critical for success as coaching, training and providing direction for employees is a primary responsibility in this position. It is a hands-on role, and responsibilities will include building and maintaining good relationships with customers in addition to supervising the operations team.
The ideal candidate will be very organized, pay close attention to detail and have high quality standards, knowledge of safety and compliance, and experience with housekeeping and maintenance of material handling and storage equipment.
A BS degree in Agriculture and proven, successful leadership experience are required, and a minimum of five years grain handling / grain elevator experience is highly preferred in order to perform this role well. Experience with capital projects will be helpful.
Salary will be $70-110,000+ BOE plus an excellent benefits package and room for growth.
