    Description

This is a career opportunity for you to operate the "big rigs" of agriculture. These are high-tech diesel-powered machines with touch computer screens that place you high above the crop in a climate-controlled environment. The job is a combination of in-the-field equipment operation and in-the-shop helping make repairs. The company invests heavily in having the best brands and latest models for you to operate.

This opportunity carries a great deal of responsibility and is a major role in the agronomy retail industry. Your job is getting the product applied timely, quickly, and safely. You will develop relationships with your farmer customers and you can quickly see the results of your work. There are options for advancement to Plant Manager and Area Manager.

The company is willing to invest and train you to be one of the best custom operators in the field. This role will require you to have a valid Class A CDL and Custom Operator's License. These are not required at the time of hire. The company conducts their own in-house training and testing. You will receive your CDL and licenses at no cost to you. The company is willing to hire someone who is inexperienced and ready to learn or may consider an experienced candidate.

The work requires someone with the ability to make quick decisions and understands how the products applied may impact the environment. Previous experience operating big equipment is helpful. An understanding of how plants grow and react to fertilizers and chemistries is helpful but not required.

Should you be hired, you'll be paid a wage ranging from $18.00 per hour to $26.00 per hour with overtime hours averaging about 400 hours per year. You are eligible for a performance bonus. This is a discretionary bonus based on how well you take care of your machine, complaints received, and overall safety. Your annual compensation may range from $40,000 to $70,000.   Don't delay - apply today by sending your resume to Jim Fleming at jim@agri-search.com
