A leading agricultural, material handling manufacturer is seeking a motivated and technically skilled individual to join their Project Management department as a Service Technician. This new position has been created to increase project management capacity while also providing opportunities for cross-training and development of future team members.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and customer interaction skills, be highly technically inclined, and have a general knowledge of equipment, pneumatics, plumbing, and basic control wiring. Additionally, the candidate should be willing to travel independently and be a self-starter.
Responsibilities will include providing mechanical support to the project management team, including initial mechanical start-up support of automated systems, receiving systems, and assisting installers.
The successful candidate will be a responsible individual who follows through on their work and adheres to customer safety policies. You must enjoy getting out and traveling, seeing things, and working with a variety of customers as estimated travel is two weeks per month fluctuating with the seasonality of the business needs. This person will take pride in representing the company and keeping their products operating well and to the satisfaction of the customer. You will also be privileged with managing and maintaining a service truck.
An ideal geography for this individual is in northeastern Missouri, but candidates living elsewhere in the region will be strongly considered.
