A progressive and financially stable cooperative in central Kansas is seeking a Regional Operations Manager to provide leadership and operational oversight across five facilities.
This is much more than a facility-management position. The company needs a proven leader who can develop employees, strengthen accountability, and create consistency across multiple locations. The right person will spend time in the facilities, build relationships with employees and customers, and help each team perform at a higher level.
They are looking for someone who will lead from the front, mentor location managers and employees, and actively contribute to the cooperative’s overall leadership and direction, not someone who simply checks boxes from an office. This position is operationally focused and does not include direct merchandising responsibilities.
What They’re Looking For
- Strong grain elevator operations experience
- Previous leadership experience, ideally involving multiple locations or teams
- A hands-on leader who is comfortable spending time in the facilities
- A demonstrated ability to train, motivate, and develop employees
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to hold people accountable while maintaining a positive culture
- A professional, steady leadership presence
- Someone who can evaluate operations strategically while still understanding the day-to-day details
