Description

A rapidly growing Accounting firm is seeking a motivated and experienced Tax Partner to join their team and play a pivotal role in the continued growth and service of their agricultural clients. This is a rare opportunity to step into a leadership position with a well-established client base, heavily focused on family farming businesses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture, preferably with experience working with generational farming clients. Unlike traditional tax preparers, this role requires a relationship builder with the confidence to engage with clients, attract new business, and drive the firm's growth.

The Tax Partner will take over existing clients from retiring partners and work diligently to develop new relationships within the agricultural sector. You will work together to ensure a smooth transition of clients while also focusing on expanding the firm's reach. Working closely with agricultural families, the Tax Partner will provide tailored tax solutions, building and maintaining strong relationships that ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.

In addition to client management, the successful candidate will also play a key role in strengthening and building out the tax team. This includes mentoring and guiding staff to ensure high performance and continuity within the firm. The Tax Partner will lead the team with a hands-on approach, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

The ideal candidate will actively pursue new business opportunities, leveraging their network and industry knowledge to expand the firm’s client base. They will contribute to the overall strategic direction of the firm, particularly within the tax practice, and work closely with other partners to achieve firm-wide goals and objectives. The selected individual will have a fast track to equity partnership, with the opportunity to shape the future of the firm.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of tax experience, with a strong background in agriculture or related industries. CPA certification is required, and advanced degrees (e.g., MST, JD, LLM) are a plus. The candidate must be willing to relocate to Arizona and have the following qualities:

  • Strong business development skills with a proven track record of growing a client base.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and staff.
  • A desire to work in a smaller, boutique firm environment rather than a big corporate setting.

This position offers an exceptional base salary with potential for higher compensation based on experience and client portfolio. The firm also provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and retirement plans, along with a clear and expedited path to equity partnership for the right candidate.

The firm is committed to finding the right person as soon as possible to ensure a smooth transition. Experienced tax leaders should contact Chelbi Alt or Dave Allen today!
