Description
An established agricultural organization is seeking a Research Manager to provide technical agronomic expertise, design and implement field research, and communicate impactful results that advance nutrient efficiency and environmental stewardship.
In this high-visibility role, you will lead the development of strategic research priorities that align with organizational goals, collaborate with both public and private partners, and play a key role in shaping critical research efforts across Illinois. The ideal candidate will be recognized as a subject matter expert who can effectively share insights through written, electronic, and broadcast channels.
Qualified candidates will hold a Master’s degree in Agronomy, Soil Science, Environmental Science, or a related field, with at least five years of field trial experience and the ability to interpret and execute complex research protocols.
This position offers flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in Illinois and manage your own schedule with minimal supervision. As a newly created role, the individual hired will have the unique opportunity to set the direction and influence the future of the research program.
Compensation is $75,000–$95,000, commensurate with experience, plus benefits. The organization provides a stipend for insurance, reimburses mileage, covers office expenses, and provides a company credit card for business-related costs.
This is a tremendous opportunity to make a lasting impact on both agriculture and the environment through innovative, data-driven research.
