An expanding grain company in northwestern Illinois is seeking an experienced grain professional to lead the origination of grain and shipping logistics over a multi-location region that has an excellent footprint for growth.
The successful candidate will oversee the locations, logistics, and grain buying activities and be a people person with a customer-focused mindset. You must enjoy getting out in the country, cultivating relationships to grow the business, and getting the customer what they want. Internally, you will be a team builder capable of communicating daily with customers, helping build a team across multi-locations, and working hand-in-hand with the merchandiser as excellent potential exists to identify and take advantage of arbitrage opportunities going into multiple markets.
You will also communicate regularly with the operations team to figure out space, shipping needs, etc.
A lot of good will has been established with the customer base. They are excited to have a new person coming in to work hand-in-hand with the them to identify marketing opportunities, arrange freight, or just help them get through harvest.
This is an excellent growth opportunity for a grain professional with three to 20+ years experience who desires to put down roots in a nice rural area and be a part of a successful team. You will have a choice to live in a larger community, small town, or rural setting.
Compensation will be very competitive based on experience and skillset plus excellent benefits, bonus and a vehicle.
