Description
We have a seed production company hiring a Soybean Lead for three plants in Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. The role is open due to an upcoming retirement.
The primary responsibilities are people, plant management, and production. You will have three direct reports that will direct plant and field staff. This role will be responsible for hiring, onboarding, evaluations, and leadership of the team. The company president will be your direct supervisor and you'll work closely to determine production and processing needs. You will have interaction with farmer growers performing inspections, tours, and some research. There will be on the road travel with some overnight stays about 15% of the time. Capital improvement projects will also be a part of this role. Production exceeds 350,000 units.
The company desires an individual with a minimum of two years soybean production experience. This could be someone who has served as a plant manager or an assistant manager.
