    Description

Highly successful Midwest-based agricultural hedging and consulting firm, an industry-leading and rapidly growing commodity futures brokerage and hedge advisory group, is seeking an Account Executive to work in the firm’s Chicago office within the Cattle Team.

The client is seeking a self-motivated, entrepreneurial, problem solver to join one of their fastest-growing client service teams. This is a high-bred position that will not only be engaged with clients on the futures and options trading side of the business, but you will also be the lead person to provide oversight and compliance for all existing clients who are engaged with the company for their livestock revenue insurance product. Agriculture insurance experience is not required, but it would be a huge plus. You must be someone with a high level of attention to detail.

The job will also grow into using their existing framework and proprietary resources, you will work with clients directly to develop a risk management strategy using futures, options, forwards, and swaps, while implementing and monitoring the client’s strategy in the market and monitoring for adjustment and enhancement recommendations as the market conditions change. These recommendations will be pitched directly to the client for implementation.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field, plus 3 years of financial service, risk management, insurance, sales, and trading, or other relevant experience within the grain or livestock industry. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of futures and options contracts and risk management. Experience in the cattle industry is preferred but not required. Alternatively, experience in risk modeling or trading system development would be attractive in a potential candidate. This position requires obtaining a Series 3 license after hiring.

If you have had a successful career in developing and implementing new and innovative forward contract strategies and are looking for an opportunity to join a dynamic team and really put your mark on a business unit, this could be the perfect job for you.

Salary range $80-120,000 BOE with excellent benefits, and bonus opportunities.
