Description
An established feed milling organization is seeking a Plant Manager who has the abilities to grow and lead a team. The responsibilities will include all aspects of safety compliance and documentation, production, delivery, receiving, maintenance, and customer service for the location.
Team leadership and operations is of utmost importance in this role. The Plant Manager must be able to coordinate and schedule production, and oversee production personnel to meet established KPIs. A true leader will be able to foster team growth and development, and support the Plant Manager as needed. To ensure success, this person must comply with company, Federal, State, and local regulations. The established Preventative Maintenance Program must be followed and all QC duties managed. The Plant Manager will be responsible for ensuring warehouse inventory is accurate and all shipments are on time.
The Plant Manager must be able to coordinate and conduct safety trainings, and support all established safety programs. Along with safety directives, this person must also engage employees and monitor participation in all food safety programs.
The ideal candidate for this role must have the ability to work independently in all production areas, and develop creative ideas to improve efficiency of production and maintenance
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years feed mill experience preferred.
- High level of detail, multi-tasking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with intuition to create solution.
- Positive, self-motivated individual with organization, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Communication skills – ability to listen and provide feedback both verbally and in writing.
- Teamwork skills – build a positive work environment.
- Leadership skills – demonstrate passion for the job and hold employees accountable.
- Strong customer service commitment.
