Description
A large, nationally recognized grain company is seeking a Structural Engineer in Nebraska to strengthen the design and analysis of its grain facilities. The company sets the bar for safety and reliability across the network and is investing in smarter layouts and better specs that improve life, safety, and uptime.
You will join a lean, fast-moving group where engineering leads and project managers pull in the same direction. Day to day, you’ll assess facilities for structural soundness, shape designs and layouts, and direct both internal and outside engineers. You’ll be the technical voice guiding PMs on the structural, mechanical, and civil interfaces that make projects work in the real world. Expect hands-on problem solving—helping operations respond quickly to unplanned issues and turning fixes into repeatable standards. Site work is part of the job; comfort at elevation is important, with modest travel (generally 10–20%).
The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in industrial structures, ideally grain or bulk material handling, with a strong command of ACI/ASCE/AISC and an eye for constructability. You communicate clearly with PMs and operators, move fast without cutting corners, and can translate calculations into practical, safe solutions. AutoCAD/Revit experience is preferred. A PE or SE is a plus, not a requirement.
Compensation will include a competitive base salary with full benefits, commensurate with experience.
