    Well-established and growing central Illinois grain company is seeking a Grain Accounting Manager / Controller who will perform all functions of grain accounting and work closely with the CFO and other staff.

    This individual will be dedicated and focused on accounting, will take ownership of the company's accounting system, and will also will lead and drive various processes which include developing, organizing, planning, and carrying out key financial strategic goals. Managing, training, coaching and regularly communicating with other team members is also key.

    The successful candidate will possess proven accounting and teamwork skills and use their can-do attitude to perform highly responsible professional work. This will be done in a wide variety of company accounting functions that include commodity pricing, inventory control, accounts receivables and payables, cash management and budgeting, auditing, accounting systems and software management, cost accounting and more.

    The ideal candidate will have a team-oriented attitude and believe in a systems approach to office and accounting management. Grain elevator / commodity experience is key. The best fit is to have a strong personality capable of dealing with farmers, a wide variety of customers, transportation documentation, and other issues. Flexibility is a must; this person will have the latitude to work on a variety of projects and not become stuck in a repetitive rut.

    A Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or financial administration, or a related field is required along with at least 2-3 years of progressive financial experience in a grain company or similar agricultural environment.

    Salary will be competitive based on experience, likely in the $60-70,000+ range. An excellent benefits and bonus package is also provided.
