Description
An experienced operations-type person is needed to manage all inside processes at a seed production processing plant located in central Illinois.
The primary objective of this job is to ensure there are adequate materials and staff needed to sustain levels of production. You will be responsible for scheduling inbound seed and making sure everything flows properly; adhering to protocols, procedures, and ISO certifications; and ensuring a safe work environment for your employees. You will be directly involved with the hiring, leading, training, and managing of 10 full-time and 10 part-time employees.
A good understanding of farming practices, crop production, and related equipment will be very helpful. The facilities are in excellent condition. You must be someone who can lead and motivate people in a positive fashion. The ideal candidate will be someone with a BS degree in agriculture or a manufacturing process, be excellent with people, and know the "ins and outs" to bringing raw products in and shipping the finished product out. This role will give you considerable freedom to make decisions.
You'll be compensated appropriately for your experience, plus you will be eligible for a company bonus and benefits and have excellent advancement potential.
$75-95,000.
