A seed company that prides itself on being on the cusp of product development is seeking a Germplasm Representative in northeast Indiana to focus on standard conventional hybrids. Should there be an “and” between standard and conventional?
You will evaluate hybrids by establishing trials and making notes and observations then market these products to a growing number of farmers. The successful candidate will meet with client Product and Sales Managers to make the appropriate recommendations based upon inventory.
This role will not have people management, licensing, or breeding, but may require you to be in the field.
Professional venues such as ASTA, IPSA, CBSC and others are places you will represent the company. This role will require about 30% travel.
A knowledge of corn product development and agronomics is required. You need to be very open at presenting new ideas, be creative, and have the ability to think outside of the box.
$60-100,000 BOE, benefits, vehicle, tools to be successful, and flexibility to give good work-life balance
This is an excellent opportunity!
