Retail seed company is seeking an individual to fill the role of Processing Plant Manager. This facility is located in Eastern Illinois. You will be responsible for all day-to-day operations for a soybean seed plant.
This is a hands on job. You will operate the cleaners, gravity, and treater, as well as oversee two full-time staff and seasonal people. You will work with contract growers to arrange pick up of raw product at the farm. The job also requires you to enter data and use the CCPI software program. You will work closely with shipping and logistics to make sure product leaves on time.
This is a small company so you must be able to get along and work well with others. Pleasant communication is vital. You must have a strong work ethic and be of good character. This is a key role. You will be a part of the company's management team. A CDL will be required, as you will shuttle seed occasionally from the plant to the warehouse.
Prior to hiring, you will be asked to take a personality assessment. Should you be hired, the company will pay you a wage based upon your experience. They assist you in securing insurance and will provide short and long term disability and life insurance. This is a good role in a nice part of Illinois.
