Seed production company is seeking a Field Production Manager to work out of Central Indiana. The primary responsibilities of this role will be to secure a quality product for sale to growers throughout the Midwest.
You will work with landowners and farmers to arrange grower contracts and settlements, provide agronomic support, and be on the look out for new growing areas. This role will require you to travel out of the country to oversee production in winter growing regions. You must have a valid US passport.
The preferred candidate will be someone with seed production experience, working knowledge of current conventional farming practices, and have a working knowledge of standard practices concerning international seed production importing and exporting.
The company may consider someone with lesser experience or a new college graduate, provided you have a minimum of a BS in agronomy, plant science, or related field, and have the seed background necessary to learn this role.
