    Description

Full line seed company with a 100-year history is seeking a Field Production Manager to work in all aspects of growing and producing seed.

This role is primarily an outside hands-on position. You will oversee production of dent corn, popcorn, sweet corn, soybeans, wheat, and oats though the primary focus will be dent corn. You'll work direct with contract farmers to establish acreage and will be on site during planting, de-tasseling, spraying, and harvest.

This job will require you to walk fields, scout for pests, take stand counts, and schedule harvesters. You will operate equipment, so a comfort level of operating large farm machinery will be very helpful with this job. You will have responsibilities in the shop overseeing equipment.

To be qualified for this role, you'll need five years in seed and crop production with an emphasis in agronomy and crop production. A CCA is highly preferred. You will need good people skills and be able to communicate with professionalism.

This is a job that combines farming skills with agronomist and seed production roles. This is great for someone who is seeking to be on the farm and working in the seed industry without the stresses associate with sales.

$55-70,000 based upon experience plus benefits and vehicle.
