Historically successful and profitable multi-location Kansas feed company is seeking a General Manager / CEO to expand upon the strong foundation already in place and help build and carry out the vision for the future.
For this company, feed is their priority and the sole focus of their business. They have great assets, great people, a wide range of customers in a large trade territory, and are well-positioned to continue to grow and be more successful. There is ample opportunity for growth and great resources to build the company up to take it to the next level.
The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with impeccable integrity and a relatable personality, have a successful management track record and excel in communicating, delegating, and building teams. Proven success with roots in a winning team environment is critical. Being a good listener, being involved and engaged in the business, and having a proactive and collaborative leadership approach are key. Feed industry knowledge and some mill or grain, food, or ethanol-related operations exposure are preferred, and you must have the ability and desire to learn the business at a rapid rate.
Sound business acumen and solid financial knowledge with the ability to analyze financial results and implement a sales strategy are key.
This is not a "sit in the office" position; you will be out among the team, actively involved in coaching and promoting the vision for efficiency, growth, and teamwork. You will also have oversight of Good Manufacturing Practices, compliance, and safety at all facilities.
Good people are in place and ready to go for every role throughout this company; they will be energized, motivated, and inspired to do what they were hired to do by a sincere and respectful leader who is committed to the long-term success of the company.
This is a rare and unique opportunity for a leader who desires an excellent feed industry management position where you can make a difference. You will be able to establish roots in a beautiful and productive agricultural region of Kansas with good people and nice communities to choose where you want to live and raise a family.
Compensation will be competitive with an excellent benefits and incentive package. Interviews for this position will be held in September 2022 with applications accepted through early August.
