    Successful Northern Illinois company is seeking a Grain Operations Manager who will be responsible for working with team members at all grain operations facilities within the company to maximize operational efficiencies and manage safety, maintenance and repair program effectiveness, and oversee the day to day operations.

    Operations responsibilities include managing grain quality including conducting periodic inspections of stored grain at all locations; monitoring storage and logistics of grain for all locations; providing training for grain facility operators on drying, blending and operational tasks to improve grain grades, reduce discounts, and eliminate rejected loads; and oversee maintenance protocols and documentation for all locations.

    This person must thrive as a team leader who can lead by example, motivate from the ground up and enjoy the responsibility of building unity among a dedicated team.

    Promoting a positive and safe culture is vital. You will perform safety toolbox updates, ensure all work practices are completed in a safe manner, and enforce safety policies to make sure all federal, state and local standards are met.

    Communication skills are key. Candidate will need to communicate expectations to all team members and work collaboratively with all locations throughout the company to maximize efficiencies.

    Candidate must have strong integrity, be a self-motivated leader who sees and gladly accepts challenge, and have the patience to hire, schedule, work with and train other team members, including part-time seasonal workers.

    Overseeing ongoing upgrades and improvements to automation at the facilities is also an important responsibility.

    Experience required includes at least five years of successful operations management, personnel management, and demonstrated customer service skills.
