Established livestock nutrition company is seeking a Director of Supply Chain & Merchandising for their Southeast Region.
This individual will be responsible for the centralized supply chain and all 3rd party product sales originating from their two facilities in the region and will report directly to the Regional Vice President.
You will be responsible for purchasing, costing, inventory control, pricing, margins, scheduling of inbound and outbound ingredients, and finished goods. Your "job one" will be extreme attention to servicing the customers and scheduling on-time deliveries.
You will manage the staff of merchandisers, sales and marketing, and logistics. You will not be responsible for production, but you will need to work closely with this department to ensure service.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in merchandising grain and feed products, contract negotiations and management, logistics, and general supply chain coordination to exceed your customers' expectations. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness Management or related field and a minimum of 5 years supply chain/merchandising experience.
This is a big job with plenty of room to grow. This is in the heart of the Southeast beef and dairy country.
