    Description

    Highly successful Midwest-based agricultural hedging and consulting firm is seeking a Business Development Manager to work in a vital role in their client service Latin America team. Their clients produce, consume, process, and export commodities throughout the world.

    The client is seeking a self-motivated, team-oriented, entrepreneurial, problem solver to join one of their fastest-growing client service teams. Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field. Familiarity with futures and options contracts and understanding how each function is essential. The client will consider entry-level candidates with the right skills, as well as candidates with more experience looking to join a great organization.

    The position will be based from the company's corporate office in Chicago, Illinois, or another US city agreed upon by the company that has access to a major airport. At least five years of sales experience, ideally in an international setting, is required. The candidate must be fluent in Spanish and English and have legal authority to work in the United States. The company is not able to sponsor candidates. Relevant experience within the grain and livestock field is important, and you will be required to obtain a Series 3 license subsequent to hiring. For this position, 40-50% international travel is expected.

    Using their existing framework and proprietary resources, you will work throughout Latin America to identify potential clients and work closely with the Latin America Account Executive team to work with potential clients directly to develop a risk management strategy using futures, options, forwards, and swaps, while implementing and monitoring the client’s strategy in the market and monitoring for adjustment and enhancement recommendations as the market conditions change. These recommendations will be pitched directly to the client for implementation.

    This position will report to the Team Lead of the Latin American Group.
