    Description

    Central Illinois grain company is seeking a Grain Manager to guide the continued success and growth of their multi-location company.

    The ideal candidate will be a seasoned grain merchandiser with a track record of success in the grain industry. High potential candidates with less industry experience who are looking for growth and challenge will also be considered. A minimum of five years of experience in the grain industry is required, including some experience hedging grain.

    This role is very customer focused; you must enjoy and excel in customer interaction and relationship building.

    Besides merchandising grain, responsibilities will include working closely with three direct reports and having oversight over all team members and facilities. A lot of respect will go to the person in this role who can take the helm, learn and know the people reporting to you, and lead them positively forward.

    Significant authority will be entrusted to you as you take responsibility for the business; you will not be micro-managed but will have good support as needed.

    The company culture has a track record of financial success and is more of a "big family" culture where everyone roles up their sleeves and helps each other out. They have an excellent customer base, no worries with urban sprawl, and a strong balance sheet which they plan to continue building on as they move forward.

    Located in the middle of excellent producing soils, you will have good options to live in smaller communities or in larger ones 15 to 30 minutes away.

    Compensation will be a base salary likely in the $120,000 to $150,000 range based on experience with financial goals and incentives to go higher as you succeed in the role. An excellent benefits package is also available.
