    Description

Stable and successful Central Illinois grain company is seeking a hands-on Grain Operations Superintendent to lead the operations at a key truck and rail elevator location.

Responsibilities will include housekeeping, preventative maintenance, grain drying, conditioning and quality, and restaging grain for shipments along with supervising one to seven operations staff. There will be a well-seasoned Location Manager present to assist with the initial learning curve and ongoing mentoring.

The ideal candidate will pay attention to detail, have hands-on grain operations experience, and enjoy being active around the elevator. You will be able to identify, troubleshoot, and investigate problems that arise and deal with them appropriately, such as blending damaged grain, and have the maturity, patience, and desire to work hard to consistently learn, grow, and better yourself over time to prepare for taking on additional roles and responsibilities.

To fit well on this team, you must not be afraid to bring new ideas and thoughts for improvement to the table, but also be willing to accept tried and true measures. You must be willing to solve problems, care enough to do what needs to be done when it needs to be done, understand what you do impacts the safety and well-being of your teammates you work with every day and have that inner desire to build them up, not let them down.

Compensation will be competitive based on experience and can be either hourly or salary, likely in the $67-75,000 range per year, plus an incentive bonus and excellent benefits.

If you are looking for a company that offers stability, good benefits and excellent time off policies, keeps safety in the forefront, wants their team members to be involved, and has modern elevators with plans for ongoing updates, this is a career step you will want to pursue.

This opportunity will allow you to locate in a highly productive farming area near a university community with multiple quality communities nearby where you can choose to live.

If you are a passionate grain operations professional, whether early to mid-career or desiring to run a great facility for the last decade of your career, contact Dave Allen or Chelbi Williams Alt today.
