    Description

    Stable and respected Wisconsin grain company is seeking an energetic and self-driven Grain Merchandiser / Originator to fill a key grain buying and selling position within the company.

    The successful candidate will be detailed, organized, and have excellent interpersonal skills to develop quality relationships with producers and end users. They will also communicate internally with other locations regarding marketing opportunities, risk assessment regarding market activity, freight, basis and quality issues.

    The ability to cold call and provide consistent follow up and communication with producers is crucial. A strong accuracy with numbers and the ability to validate settlements, payments, freight invoices and grades is also key.

    The ideal candidate will have two years or more of experience buying and / or selling grain; solid negotiation skills; experience with grain accounting software; and a good understanding of logistics and the overall movement of grain.

    Compensation will be based on experience, likely starting in the $65,000 to $90,000 range, along with excellent benefits.
