    Description

Illinois grain company is seeking a top-level Grain Merchandiser who can think on their feet, create a marketing plan, analyze the markets, and execute that plan.

This person will be trading a significant position for the company and must be able to communicate well with a wide variety of people. The majority of the trading is via the river system so a strong understanding of barge freight and logistics are a must.

The successful candidate will have at least 3 - 5 years of successful cash grain trading experience and be able to jump right in and hit the ground running. This person will have the opportunity to deal with multiple facilities and significant volumes of grain; therefore, an ability to see needs, think about options available, move to meet those needs, and execute the plan must be a key part of any qualified candidate's skill set.

High energy, a passion for the grain industry, and a desire to grow and take on more responsibility are also key characteristics needed for this position. You will be a part of a dynamic trading team with excellent leadership in a highly driven company.

If you are among the best in the grain trading profession and are looking for career growth, this is an exceptional opportunity.

Compensation is based on experience but will likely be in the $70-100,000 range.

    Excellent northern Illinois location.
