A thriving grain company offers a great opportunity in Ohio for a highly motivated leader with grain handling and people management experience. This individual must be creative in finding solutions to move the business profitably forward and figuring out and solving challenges as they arise.
The successful candidate will lead a team and oversee all of the daily operations of a facility that receives, processes, and ships out grain for domestic and export markets. This is an steady, slower paced facility with a constant in and out flow of grain. Quality and good communications are key. Leadership qualities are critical for success as coaching, training and providing direction for employees is a primary responsibility in this position. It is a hands-on role and responsibilities will include building and maintaining good relationships with producers, suppliers and destination customers in addition to supervising the 4-member operations team.
The ideal candidate will be very organized, pay close attention to detail and have high quality standards, knowledge of safety and compliance, and experience with housekeeping and maintenance of material handling, storage and cleaning equipment.
A BS degree in Agriculture and proven, successful leadership experience are required, and a minimum of five years grain handling / grain elevator experience is highly preferred in order to perform this role well. It is also ideal for a mature leader who is in a hectic, high stress, high volume grain handling facility and is looking for a more manageable, slower paced opportunity.
Salary will be $80-100,000 BOE plus an excellent benefits package and room for growth.
