$80,000 - $110,000 plus benefits and bonus
Family farming operation located in eastern Michigan is seeking a Farm Operations Manager to join their fast growing family. This role is unique in that you will be working under a transitioning manager.
This farm is diverse. You will be responsible for 1,000 acres of apples, corn, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, tomatoes, melons, cherries, plums, peaches, pumpkins, squash, soybeans, and Christmas trees. This is hands on in the field from the beginning of the season until the end.
You will be responsible for agronomic decisions and manage all purchases. This job will be responsible for the farm budget and you will have one direct report who in turn manages all H2A and related workers. This is a tremendous opportunity to work in an agritourism setting in a beautiful location.
You must have a minimum of a BS in Horticulture or related field and have hands-on experience working on a fruit orchard or vineyard. Excellent communication skills are required and it is preferred that you speak Spanish.
