Crop inputs retailer with multiple locations is seeking an individual to become their Agronomy Department Manager. This role is open due to an anticipated retirement. The department has gross revenues exceeding $18.0M and is a full-service agronomy company.
The focus of this role is leadership and bringing together a 20-person team, into a cohesive group. You will collaborate with other team leaders overseeing grain and transportation to create an even stronger company. The company has a long-term legacy and is well-respected among their customers.
You will be responsible for all agronomy related purchases, capital improvements, margins, personnel, and safety. You may sell to a few clients, but sales will not be your focus. This role is designed for someone who has been managing an agronomy retail plant and knows how the plant and season work.
This is not for someone who is timid and complacent, but rather someone with a dominant personality, who can make things happen. You must be willing to live in Northern Illinois and pass a background screening prior to starting.
