Plant Manager is needed at a retail location in east central Illinois due to an impending retirement.
The company would like to bring someone on this fall to work with the current manager who will retire at the end of 2019; this role is a combination of sales and management.
This company is established and highly profitable with long-term customers. Employees are long-term with a low turnover percentage, and the company encourages an open door communication policy. The owners treat their employees like family and try to make up for extended seasonal hours by offering extra days around holidays and additional time off as needed.
The plant is a standalone profit center, and you can receive an additional 5% bonus on the net profit of your plant. This plant has seed, dry, UAN, and NH3. You will work with the General Manager on purchases and pricing.
The ideal candidate will be someone who can bring a new perspective and build relationships with current and prospective customers. You MUST have agronomy retail experience and have had hands-on experiences in agronomy retail operations and sales.
Educational levels are open; experience, agronomy knowledge, communications and people skills are the keys to your success. Being adaptable, maintaining your cool, and ensuring the plant and staff operate professionally and safely will lead you to a higher level of success.
$55-70,000 BOE plus truck; cell phone stipend; medical, dental, and retirement benefits.
