A leader in retail agronomy in the northern Plains is seeking a Crop Nutrient Marketing Manager to lead their fertilizer procurement and marketing efforts.
This is a key role that links the wholesale supply chain of crop nutrients to the retail marketing and distribution programs for grain producers in their territory.
The responsibilities include accurate forecasting of fertilizer needs for agronomy locations, strategic positioning, communication with location on supply and logistical needs, developing retail fertilizer programs expected by customers, pricing and margin decisions for fertilizer offerings, developing and implementing risk management strategies for inventory, inventory management, invoicing oversight, and keeping abreast of technology and fertilizer trends in the industry.
This individual must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, persuasive and financial management skills to perform this role. This is a company that is very team-oriented, so the person must excel in a team environment, accept personal responsibility for decisions and mistakes, lead cross functional teams, gather input from others. and adapt to changing conditions and responsibilities.
Qualified candidates must have a BS degree in a related field with 10+ years experience preferred in fertilizer marketing and retail program management. Candidates must also be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
Salary of $100,000+ BOE and excellent benefits.
