A well-established and successful cooperative-owned business is seeking an experienced person to manage an active grain and agronomy facility serving producers in central Ohio.
This position has comprehensive management responsibility for single location assets and 9 full-time direct reports. This location provides retail products and services including liquid, dry, anhydrous, seed, ag chem, custom application, bagged feed and grain marketing.
The position will require a strong agronomy background, solid grain and agronomy facility operations experience, current knowledge of safety requirements, and the ability to oversee maintenance and repair of the facility.
This position will assist in establishing short- and long-term goals and developing and managing an operating and capital expenditure budget.
The ability to hire, lead, coach and develop people is a must with strong written and verbal communication skills. Must have strong desire to meet and exceed the needs of producer customers.
The ideal person will need to have at least an Associate's Degree, 10 years of experience managing an agriculture retail business, and 5 years of supervisory experience.
