Dave received his Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Education and Master’s degree in Agronomy from the University of Illinois. After participating for six months in the FFA Work Experience Abroad program in West Germany, Dave joined the University of Illinois Cooperative Extension Service Staff.
He served as Agricultural Extension Advisor for 3 ½ years in his home county of Shelby and 4 ½ years in Piatt County. Dave worked for eight years as a sales agronomist for two Illinois cooperatives, Grand Prairie Co-op and Effingham Equity, before joining AGRI-SEARCH in 1999. Dave is married with three children. He enjoys spending time with family, Illini basketball, Cardinal baseball, and being active in Promise Keepers. Dave specializes in placing personnel in the grain industry.
Jim leads the Agronomy and Seed Recruiting sector for AGRI-SEARCH. Since joining the company in 2002, Jim has successfully filled nearly 350 positions and has helped AGRI-SEARCH in becoming one of the premier agribusiness personnel consulting firms in the country.
With nearly 35 years in the agribusiness industry, Jim is considered an expert in his field and has been interviewed on AGRI-TALK, Brownfield Network, RFD Network, Cromwell Ag Radio, Wisconsin Farm Network, Farmweek News, and both the Illinois and Indiana Agri-News. Jim supports the industry through his involvement in the American Seed Trade Association, Independent Professional Seed Association, Illinois Fertilizer and Chemical Association, Wisconsin Agribusiness Association, and the Indiana Crop Improvement Association.
On the local level, Jim takes an active role in the FFA and 4-H organizations and volunteers in his community and church. His hobbies are collecting Oliver, Minneapolis-Moline, and JI Case tractors and farm implements and participating in antique farm shows throughout the country. He also enjoys gardening and working in the yard.
Jennifer joined the company in 2007 as the Office Manager. She keeps the jobs current on the website and makes arrangements for the trade shows and career fairs, among other duties.
She grew up on farms in Illinois and Missouri, and her family proudly owns Centennial farms in Edgar County and Moultrie County. Jennifer received her Bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University and is working towards her Master’s degree from Eastern Illinois University.
Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and friends, crafting, baking, and being involved with her church and various community clubs and organizations.
Vic was raised in Kouts, Indiana. He graduated from Kouts High School and attended Purdue University. In 1976, he assumed the responsibility for the family business, Heinold Elevator and Feeds. During his tenure from 1976 until 2004, Heinold Feeds became one of the top specialty feed manufacturers in the nation and a highly recognized pre-mix manufacturer specializing in Dairy.
In November of 2004, Vic was elected to the Indiana State Senate where he sponsored and authored numerous bills making Indiana a business-friendly state for agriculture, especially ethanol production. In May of 2007, he retired from the Senate and accepted a full-time position with Consolidated Grain & Barge as General Manager of the Feed Ingredient Division with a strong emphasis on Distillers Dried Grains. Vic left CGB in the fall of 2011, and in October 2011, he joined AGRI-SEARCH as a Professional Agricultural Recruiter specializing in the grain and feed and nutrition industries and a variety of management positions with state and national agriculture associations.
He is the father of five children and proud grandfather of 15. His civic activities, to name a few, include The Gideons International, Florida Guardian ad Litem Program, Florida Feed Association, American Feed Industry Association, and Indiana Grain and Feed Association of which he served as Chairman.
T.J. was born and raised on his family farm near Clinton, Illinois.
As a Precision Ag Technology Consultant, T.J. has worked with several companies to integrate agronomy and technology into practical solutions for crop producers. He understands the systems approach needed for modern crop production. He has held management positions specializing in team integration and business development.
T.J. has a genuine passion for people and is uniquely gifted in team building and leadership development. He is a graduate of Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, and continues his bi-vocational ministry as an ordained clergyman with the Assemblies of God fellowship. As a minister, he provides transformational leadership to plateaued church organizations in need of revitalization.
An avid outdoorsman, T.J. can often be found on remote wilderness lakes in Wisconsin, northern Minnesota, and Ontario, Canada.
Jeff grew up on a diversified crop and livestock farm in Clay Center, Kansas. He was actively involved in production agriculture for 10 years and developed his leadership ability through 4-H and FFA. He graduated from Kansas State University in 1986 with a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Economics.
Jeff’s 28-year career in the grain business began in operations with ConAgra’s wheat milling division. From 1987 – 1997 Jeff managed grain elevator operations in Central and Western Kansas for family-owned grain companies. From 1997 – 2002 he was the Grain Division Manager of Farmway Co-op of Beloit, Kansas. He was named President of AgMark LLC in 2002 and managed that company until 2014. AgMark is the grain marketing division for three cooperatives based in north central Kansas.
Jeff is a past board member of the National Grain and Feed Association and country elevator committee. He is currently serving as a trustee on the Kansas FFA Foundation board. Jeff and his wife Laura have six children and enjoy work in church and community. He spends his time with family and supporting the K-State Wildcats.
Michael joined the AGRI-SEARCH team in 2016 and works primarily in the Banking and Finance areas. Prior to becoming a recruiter, Michael was a Bank Branch Manager with Regions Bank, an Agent for State Farm and a business broker.
Growing up near Olney, Illinois, Michael spent a lot of time working on his family’s farm near Shumway. He was also an active member of both 4-H and FFA. Graduating from Loyola University of Chicago and Olney Central College, Michael’s academic focus was communications. Today he is actively involved in volunteering at church and with the Knights of Columbus. He has held positions such as finance council member and has had seats on various development boards.
Michael lives in Effingham with his wife Mandy and three boys Cole, Noah and Aidan. Michael can often be found attending a ball game for one of his sons or hiking with his family at one of the area’s State parks.
Growing up on his family ranch in Granbury, Texas, Luke found his passion for agriculture and livestock. As a teen, he was active in 4H, FFA and showing Simmental and Simbrah cattle. After high school, Luke received his BBA in Business Management from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, and became a proud member of Sigma Chi.
Post college, Luke ran the family farm and rock crushing business for 2.5 years in central Texas. Looking to move to the corporate world, he joined Kaye/Bassman International, a leader in the Recruiting and Executive Search business, specifically focusing on commercial construction in the Texas market placing entry-level to C-Suite level candidates. During his great 10-year run at Kaye/Bassman, he had the proud honor of making Managing Partner. Desiring to return to his roots, he has decided to join a company on the forefront of agriculture recruiting and has joined the AGRI-SEARCH team.
Luke’s passions include traveling (especially to all the Major League Baseball stadiums), hiking, recruiting, livestock and agriculture.
Katie grew up on her family’s grain and beef farm near Strasburg, Illinois. She was very active in 4-H and FFA and proudly received her American FFA Degree. Katie attended Lake Land College where she served as a Student Ambassador and earned her degree in Ag Business. She then continued her education at Illinois State University, where she graduated with a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Agribusiness and Animal Science. While attending ISU, Katie was actively involved in several organizations, including NAMA and Collegiate FFA. She also volunteered at United Way of America through her employer at the time: GROWMARK, Inc.
Prior to joining the AGRI-SEARCH team, Katie gained valuable ag industry experience working for Software Solutions Integrated, LLC in Shelbyville and Total Grain Marketing in Effingham.
Katie enjoys working on her show cattle operation and going to cattle shows across the country with her family, going to tractor pulls with her fiancé, and Cardinals baseball.
Rich received his Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from Iowa State University and spent nine years on the family farm in northwest Iowa. The next 23 years he worked in sales and management with Farmland Industries.
Rich then joined the farmer-marketing program for a commodity brokerage firm where he established a personnel search division before forming his own company, Rich Connell AGRI-SEARCH, Inc. in 1995. Officially retired since December 31, 2001, Rich enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, University of Illinois football and basketball, and attending several trade shows and career fairs each year with the RCAS staff.
Corey developed his love for agriculture while attending Oakland (Illinois) High School, where he was very active in FFA and served as Chapter President. He attended Blackburn College in Carlinville, Illinois, to major in business and play football, then transferred to Lake Land College in Mattoon, Illinois, to study Ag Business.
After college, Corey worked for his family’s trucking company hauling grain and working directly with producers to expand the business. It was during this time when Corey developed his strong work ethic and dedication to customer service. Deciding to move more into the world of production agriculture, he began working for Total Grain Marketing based in Effingham, Illinois, and quickly worked his way up to Location Manager of their small country grain elevator in Fairgrange.
Corey continued to use his work ethic and dedication to customer service to become a leader in his field. He quickly transformed the 200,000-bushel elevator with a dwindling customer base to a state of the art facility with 1.5 million bushels of capacity and growing customer base.
Wanting to develop his passion to work more with people and companies to achieve their goals, Corey joined AGRI-SEARCH, a company with the same dedication to helping people and providing quality customer service.
Corey is active in his local church and is Vice President in his FFA Alumni Association. Corey enjoys camping with his wife and two children, watching Chicago Bears and Illini football, and gardening at his home in Charleston, Illinois.
