5457 Grain Operations Superintendent - Southwest Illinois GRAN-XMDAGL
Highly respected grain company needs an experienced Grain Operations Superintendent who will oversee all outside operations activities. Emphasis will be on maintaining operational excellence, but responsibilities will also include monitoring safety and environmental programs, the grain grading process, grain quality, and inventory management. The successful candidate will also train and educate personnel, supervise employees, and promote good relations among employees and customers.
Candidates should have at least five years of grain elevator operations / operations management experience (combination of truck, rail, and / or barge is ideal), an agriculture background, a BS degree in Ag Systems Management or related area, and strong communication and leadership skills. This person must also be highly organized, a problem solver, and able to multi-task and deal with things / plans that can often change by the minute. Good computer skills and an ability to do a variety of spreadsheets are also key.
